It... It's Gone...

Everything had been such a blur. He had been upstairs when it started. Then the floor had given way, and he fell through the hole that opened up. With the way he fell and the supportive planking falling in over the corner he had fallen into, he had been safe from the worst of it once the roadroller tore through the lower levels of the house and continued on its rampage. Still, Kai didn't get up right away. It had been scary, falling down through the air like that. He stayed curled in a ball for several minutes, for what felt like hours, before he pushed himself to his knees and dislodged enough boards to crawl out of the rubble.

There were scrapes on his face and knees, let alone his arms, and his one ankle hurt considerably, but he could still walk on it. He was extremely lucky, and he knew that well. However, it didn't change the fact that he could not stop crying nor shaking. What had happened to their home? Where was Kana?

Kai was so scared. What if Kana had been downstairs when it happened? Had she been hurt? Had he lost her already? Cringing at the thought, the boy rubbed miserably at tearing eyes, starting to bawl. Despite it all, he walked through the destruction, looking for a familiar face to get some information from, if not a bit of comfort. While walking, he did manage to find out the worst of the casualties, and it stunned him.

This Mikuo... He lost his arms? The boy couldn't wrap his shocked mind around it and unfortunately had to sit down against some of the destruction to avoid fainting. The more hopeful part of him wanted to visit the older boy and help him feel better, but another part of him wondered if he even could.

"W--who d-did this? Wh-who hurt Mr. Mikuo? A-a-and everyone else...? Wh-what about K-K---" He couldn't even say her name.

"...Where's my nee-chan?!"

Would they ever be able to get past such a thing? How many of his new friends and amicable strangers had met the same fate as the house itself? Why did this horrible thing happen to them?

Kana-nee! <3 You made it! I was waiting for you here! Did'ja get all moved in yet? They have a really pretty garden here, too, if you haven't seen it yet! It's not in very good shape, though... We can help take care of it, though, I bet!

I have all of my stuff at the front door ready to be moved~ I just don't have the slightest clue where to move them yet...But, a garden you say? It would be so much fun to take care of it! <3

I can take you to my room, Kana! You can stay there with me until they give you a proper room. It's better to be with family in a new place, right? At least at first, anyway! *grabs for her hand* Come on, come on! I can even show you around and everything, honest!
